Alan Lee Peters, age 63 of Erie, PA, born August 21, 1951 in Altoona, PA, passed away at 9:19 am on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. Alan lived with his brother, George Peters, in Maryville, but was a resident or Erie, PA for most of his life.

Alan graduated from Strong Vincent High School in Erie, and graduated with a Master's Degree in Psychology from Gannon University in Erie, PA. He was a counselor with the New York State Education Department and the Veterans Administration, until he had to medically retire in 1994. Alan loved also working as a part-time radio DJ in Horseheads, NY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George M. Peters in 2014 and Joan A. nee McKelvey Peters, in 2015.

Heis survived by two brothers: George (Kathy) Peters of Maryville, IL, Gary (Wanda) Peters of Rocky Mount, NC; two sisters: Dawn Peters of Maryville, IL and Carol (Timothy) Powers of Ocoee, FL; 8 nieces and nephews: Lynn, Michele, Kristen, Bret, Adrienne, Lauren, Trent, and Jacob; 4 great nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Upon the family's request, Alan is to be cremated.
