Andrew Arthur Parcels

Andrew Arthur Parcels, 39, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Andy was born on February 14, 1987, at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota. He earned his master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and worked as an engineer for the Defense Contract Management Agency.

Andy was a devoted member of First Baptist Maryville. His faith and his family were at the heart of his life. He loved the Lord and cherished his family deeply, especially the special time he spent praying with his daughter, Harper.

Andy is survived by his loving wife, Sarah (nee Easterle) Parcels of Collinsville, whom he married on June 13, 2014; his beloved daughter, Harper; his parents, Clay and Kristine Parcels of Shiloh, IL; and his father- and mother-in-law, Peter and Doris Easterle of Collinsville.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026, at First Baptist Maryville, 7110 IL-162, Maryville, IL. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Andy was known for his unique collection of fun, colorful, and patterned shirts, which reflected his joyful personality. In his honor, family and friends are invited to wear bright, colorful clothing and celebrate Andy in their own colorful way.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sarah Parcels, who will be establishing an education fund for their daughter, Harper.

Andy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, church family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
