Ann L. Kroot, age 91 of Collinsville, IL, born December 12, 1927 in Johnston City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Ann was a retired executive secretary and homemaker.  She was a devoted member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville and active in the St. Anne Society.  She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Kroot; her parents, Bernardo and Stephanie "Fannie" (nee Parrino) LoMonaco; a brother, Philip John LoMonaco; a sister, Antoinette "Nettie" Veronica; and a niece, Christine LoMonaco.

She is survived by her son, John P. (Rosanne) Kroot of Collinsville, IL; two grandchildren:  Nicole (Dan) Attaway of Caseyville, IL and David (Andria) Kroot of Collinsville, IL; two great grandsons: Kaden John Attaway and Connor James Kroot; a great granddaughter, Ainsley Grace Attaway; four nephews:  Bernard (Sue) LoMonaco, Philip (Debbie) LoMonaco, James (Debbie) LoMonaco and Tony LoMonaco; three nieces:  Cindy (Dan) Rossman, Donna Sheedy and Karen (Larry) Fiket; great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 3pm to 7pm on Friday, September 27, 2019 and 9am to 10am on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.

Funeral mass will be at 10am on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 200 N. Lange, Maryville, IL with Father Joseph Havrilka celebrant.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and will be received at the funeral home.
