Arthur "Donnie" Brewer III, 81, of Collinsville, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Donnie was born on June 17, 1945, in St. Louis, MO, to the late Arthur Brewer II and Ann Theresa (De Teso) Brewer. A proud graduate of Collinsville High School's Class of 1963, he dedicated more than 42 years of service to the CXC Railroad, where he worked as a yardmaster until his retirement.

Donnie found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He also had a special love for his animals and cherished the daily visits from the many friends who stopped by to share stories and laughter.

He is survived by his three children, Joe Brewer of Caseyville, IL, Britt Pallagi of Collinsville, IL, and Douglas Brewer of Caseyville, IL; his eleven grandchildren, Dylan, Sean, Taylor, Blake, Natasha, Madison, Brady, Nolan, Ranger, Eli, and Evander; his four great-grandchildren, Seth, Jax, Aurora, and Antonella; his sister, Mary (Phil) Astrauskas of Collinsville, IL; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

Honoring Donnie's wishes, he will be cremated, and no services will be held.
