Rosalein Switzer, age 85 of Highland, IL, born October 1, 1933 in Brownstown, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at her residence surrounded by family.

Before retiring, Rosalein worked as a customer service representative for an auto parts store.  She loved to gamble and spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Rosa (nee O'Dell) Harris; a brother, Everett Lee Harris; and a sister, Mildred Elam.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Maurice Switzer, whom she married on February 17, 1951; a son, Douglas (Patricia) Switzer of Troy, IL; two daughters:  Nancy Fritts of Centralia, IL and Kenna Jo (Leonard) Jackowski of Highland, IL; six grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Marla Swick of Taylor Springs, IL.

Her wishes were to be cremated and private burial will be held at a later date.
