With broken hearts, we share the passing of Barbara "Barb" Ann Tarr of Collinsville, Illinois.  Born September 16, 1958 in East St. Louis, Illinois. She passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on July 11, 2025 at Anderson Hospital with family by her side.

Barb married Frank Tarr on March 22, 1983 and has been with him for 50 years. She was a devoted mother to her only son Dustin (Faith) Tarr. Mostly she found true joy in being "Mawmaw" to her cherished granddaughter Avery.  Watching  Avery play soccer was one of her greatest pleasures along with handing out snacks.

Barb was also known as "Aunt Barbie" to her special nieces and nephews and "Nanny" to several children. She loved to care for.

Barb is proceeded in death by her parents, Walter and Sammie Jentsch, daughter Wendy Tarr, sister Lynda Whittaker and brother Tom Jentsch. Surviving is her husband Frank Tarr, son Dustin (Faith) Tarr, granddaughter Avery, brother Bob (Mary) Jentsch and many family and friends.

Her celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 5 to 7 PM at Collinsville Rec Club (427 S. Mulberry Rd., Collinsville, IL 62234). Snacks will be provided!

In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to the Avery J. Tarr Educational Fund.  Donations can be made at Regions Bank or directly to her parents.
