Bethany L. Thomson, age 54 of Edwardsville, IL, formerly of WI, born September 11, 1969 in Washington, MO, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at St. Louis University Hospital.

Bethany loved spending time with her family and friends, playing Euchre, sewing, crafting, and traveling to her "Happy Place" ... Disney World.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herman "Bud" Helmich.

Surviving are her mother, Diana Lee (nee Ramey) Helmich of Wright City, MO; husband, Greg Thomson, whom she married April 24, 1999; son, Cameron Thomson of Edwardsville, IL; two sisters:  Irene and Pamela Helmich, both of Wright City, MO; her two canine companions:  Obi and Ahsoka; and many friends.

Memorial visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1 p.m.

Please dress casual and comfortable like Bethany would do.
