Betty (Turner) Mathenia, age 94 of Granite City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City. She would have been 95 on Christmas Eve.

She is survived by two daughters and one son: Maureen Neuling of Glen Carbon, Myron Mathenia of Granite City, and Linda (Troy) Turner of Collinsville; four grandchildren: Blake, Brent, and Brandon Turner also of Collinsville, and Joshua (Marissa) Mathenia of Southhaven, MS; and two great-grandchildren: Elijah and Emory Mathenia.

Betty's joie de vivre, along with that of her two sisters who preceded her in death, Maxine (Ralph) Abrams and Velma (Nick) Petrillo, defined the meaning of love and home for all of their immediate and extended family.

Her wishes were to be cremated and private services will be held.
