St. Jacob

Obituary

Beverly A. Price, age 78 of St. Jacob, IL, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, with her daughters by her side.

Bev began her career at Reinholdt & Gardner as a switchboard operator in the early '70's.  She later joined Killark Electric as an Inventory Control Specialist, where she worked most of her adult years, retiring in 1998.  After her retirement, she became a Consultant for PartyLite, while working as a Customer Service Representative for Family Care Medical in Highland.  In recent years, she enjoyed greeting patients and guests as a Pink Lady for Anderson Hospital's Auxiliary, and as a Medical Receptionist for Dr. Megahy in Highland, IL.

She very much enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and watching the vast array of sports they were all involved in. Bev loved the "Park Girls' lunches", Bingo, beaches, road trips, antique shops, crafting, wine, and eating out. She enjoyed listening to blues and soul music.  When she was young, she played the accordion. Bev had a warm heart and a kind soul. She will be missed by many.

Beverly was preceded by her husband, William Maurice Price; and her parents: Robert D. and Eunice M (nee Mills) Johnson.

She is survived by her daughters: Tamara Lynn (Robert) Howard and Tracine Marie Kempfer; 15 grandchildren: Robert "Bobby" (Jody) Howard, Brandon (Cassie) Howard, Sydney (Mitchell) Thole, Benjamin (Brianna) Howard, Lucas (Hanna Rose) Howard, Lyndsay (Dustin) Ballard, Bryanna (Darian Deshotel) Kempfer, Damien (Taylor Perkins) Peele, Meghan (Matthew) Fernandez, Douglas (Kelly Jo) Kelly, Jaimee (Bradley) Vaughan, Jennifer Laux, Nicole Price, Richard "Devon" (Amanda) Price, Cadence Price; 30 great-greatgrandchildren: Tyler, Cody, Alex, Abbey, Lexi, Jack, Eden, Max, Barrett, Bennett,  Sage, Lane, Caden, Dylan, Nolan, Heidi, Lillian, Natalie, Oliver, Aurora, Bodhi, Jude, Vada, Christian, Cailyn, Caeden, Charlie Jo, Blakeleigh, Barrett, and Brooks; three bonus children; Renee Price-Kelly, Amy (James) Price-Laux, and Richard (Susan) Price; a brother, Donald Lee (Crystal) Johnson; a niece, Christy L.
