Carl Joseph Leavy, Sr., age 75 of Glen Carbon, IL, born July 14, 1947 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis.

Serving in the Air Force was his greatest privilege in life.  He was a retired equipment operator instructor.  He was a great friend and person to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert M. and Drucilla G. (nee Wallace) Leavy; and a grandson, Triston Leavy.

Surviving are his loving wife, Laurie (nee Smiley) Keegan-Leavy, whom he married March 25, 2008; two sons:  Carl Joseph (Jullene) Leavy, Jr. of St. Clair, MO and Jason (Kim) Leavy of Sikeston, MO; a daughter, Andi (Derek) Keegan-Morton of Glen Carbon, IL; 10 grandchildren:  Wesley Morton, Mallorie, Madelyn, Carter, James, Colton, Jack, Brendan, Xavier and Seth Leavy; two great-grandchildren:  Larkin and Octavia Leavy; a brother, Mark (Gloria) Leavy of St. Louis, MO; nieces and nephews:  Nicholas, Kaelen and Garrett Leavy, and Jessie Becker; and a former wife, Mary (fiancé Bill Mudd) Hogan-Leavy.

His wishes were to be cremated and private burial will be held at a later date.
