Carol Ann Hollingshead age 57 of Troy, IL, born July 20, 1958 in Highland, IL, passed away at 12:54pm on Friday April 15, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Carol was a former owner and operator of The Wild Hair Beauty Salon in Troy, IL. She loved going on vacations at the beach with friends, was an avid cardinals fan, and very much loved her nieces and nephews, family, and her pet cat Baby.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lowell and Blanche nee Elliott Taake.

She is survived by two sisters; Linda (Ewald) Hoffman and Donna (Mark) Sanders both of Troy, IL, nieces; Amy (Ryan) Melliere of Caseyville, IL and Mindy (Kyle) Wiesemeyer of Troy, IL, a nephew; Chad (Val) Burgess of Nashville, IL, great nephews; Chase, Dade, Blake, Dax, and great nieces; Claire, Makenna, and Paige.

Visitation will be from 3pm to 7pm on Wednesday April 20, 2016 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will be at 7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Private burial will be held at Friedens Cemetery in Troy, IL.

Memorials may be made to the Troy Park or the National Kidney Foundation and will be received at the funeral home.
