Carolyn Y. Allen, age 72 of Edwardsville, IL, formerly of Cahokia, IL, born June 3, 1947 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020 at University Care Center in Edwardsville, IL.

Carolyn was a licensed beautician.  She loved home decorating and being a grandmother/Nan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Geraldine nee Radford Meeks; and a brother, Dennis Meeks.

She is survived by a daughter, Wendy Allen-Manno of House Springs, MO; two grandsons:  Mason Fowlkes and Samuel Manno; a brother, Chris (Patricia) Meeks of Collinsville, IL; several aunts, uncles and cousins; a niece and a nephew; and many friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the staff at University Care Center and Heartland Hospice for their care and support.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Meadow Heights Baptist Church, 1498 Vandalia, Collinsville, IL.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. following the visitation with Rev. Robert Strong officiating.  Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.

Memorials may be made to University Care Center and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home.
