Catherine Lorraine Patek, age 90 of Edwardsville, IL, formerly of Collinsville, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Addington Place of Edwardsville.

Lorraine was born in Collinsville, IL on December 21, 1931, to the late Edward and Alice (nee Kelley) O'Hara. She married Melvin Bruce Patek on October 20, 1951, and he preceded her in death.

Lorraine graduated from Collinsville High School and worked in the office at SS Peter & Paul Catholic School. She was a lifetime member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, past member of the Collinsville Junior Service Club and Red Hats, and volunteered at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church and School.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Thomas and James O'Hara.

She is survived by her three children: Linda (Robert) Mueller of Ste. Genevieve, MO, Michael (Brenda) Patek of Collinsville, IL, and Timothy (Sherri) Patek of Troy, IL; six grandchildren:  Jason, Jonathan, Jennifer, Jerica, Austin and Destin; five great-grandchildren; two sisters:  Helen Herron of Prairie Village, KS and Mary Ellen Goodwill of Sacramento, CA; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022, at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 207 Vandalia, Collinsville, IL.

Memorial mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Father John Beveridge celebrant. Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery.
