Charles "Chuck" E. Riley, Jr., 72, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He was born August 2, 1953, in East St. Louis to the late Charles Sr. and Louise (nee Mathes) Riley.

Chuck retired from Ready Mix in Troy, IL, where he worked for many years as a dedicated concrete mixer driver. He was also a proud member of Teamsters Local 525. He took great pride in his work and the friendships he built throughout his career.

Chuck had a passion for fishing, hot rods, motorcycles, cooking, gardening, and making his own wine. Most of all, Chuck loved spending time with his family, who meant everything to him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Penny Freiberg.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleene (nee Cox) Riley, whom he married on November 19, 1976; his four children, Don (Tiana) Cook of Caseyville, IL, Jamie (Charles DeWitt) Schreiber of Caseyville, IL, Charles E. (Casey) Riley III of Collinsville, IL, and Shawn Riley of Collinsville, IL; six cherished grandchildren, Zach, Jayden, Dylan, Jaelyn, Allie, and Nora; his brother, John "Sonny" (Janice) Wright; his brother-in-law, Jan Freiberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Chuck's wishes were to be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at Collinsville VFW 1234 Vandalia Street, Collinsville, IL 62234 on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
