Charles "Woody" Veteto age 78 of Collinsville, IL, born June 10, 1938 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away at 1:40pm on Friday August 5, 2016 at his residence.

He was retired after many years of service as a Insurance Broker. He graduated High School and went to college at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He was an Army veteran. In his younger years he played basketball, he enjoyed golf, all sports, but most of all spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Connie nee Bostwick Veteto, and two sisters; Jayne Himmaugh and Nancy Currat.

Charlesis survived by his wife Marilyn nee Key Veteto whom he married August 5, 1960, a son Charles (Mary Lou) Veteto of Troy, IL, a daughter Beth (David) North of Troy, IL, seven grandchildren; Drew, Claire, Abigail, Adam, Alex, Chloe, and Ben, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10am to 1pm on Tuesday August 9, 2016at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville.

Funeral service will be at 1pm on Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Greg Pratt officiating.

Private graveside services with military honors will be held on Wednesday August 10, 2016 at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Greenhouse Preschool and can be given at the funeral home.
