Connie M. Wright, age 63, of Maryville, IL passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018.

She was born on January 9, 1955 to Maynard & Bertie ( nee Kinsley) Rittgers. Connie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Troy, IL. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and collecting seashells from the Florida beaches. Connie worked in daycare for 11 years.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard & Bertie Rittgers; a grandson, Brett Holmes; a sister, Laura Brune; and brothers-in-law, James Myrick and John Cline.

Surviving are her sons, Michael (Sherry) Wright of Illiopolis, IL and Bruce (Leslie) Wright of Pace, FL; grandchildren Riley Ireland and Haley Holmes of Illiopolis, IL and Taylor Wright and Amy Wright of Pace, FL; great grandson, Kameron Frost of Illiopolis, IL; siblings: Naomi Myrick of Garland, TX; George (Veronica) Rittgers of Troy, IL; Nettie Cline of Troy, IL; Leroy (Joan) Rittgers of Aviston, IL; Darlene (Richard) Hodge of Dawson Springs, KY; Bonnie (Terrance) Harris of Glen Carbon, IL; and Joyce (James) Blair of Salem, IL; brother-in-law, Donald Brune of Collinsville, IL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, with Rev. Mitchell Sanderson officiating. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery, Troy IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Troy or to the HSHS Make a Wish Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
