Cory Lee Dyson, age 39 of Belleville, IL, born May 24, 1981 in Maryville, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Cory was a mechanic at North Belt Automotive in Belleville. He loved music, playing the guitar, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.  He never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Cheryl Lynn (nee Rapp) Dyson; and his grandfather, Leander "Lee" Rapp Jr.

He is survived by his two children, Weilyn Leander Dyson and Emery Rose Dyson; grandmother, Norma Rapp of Troy, IL; uncle, Ronald (Mary) Rapp of Troy, IL; cousins and many friends.

The family would like to say "Thank You" to Cory's special friends, Mandy, Doug and Brittany for all they have done over the years.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at St. John's Cemetery, Collinsville, IL with Pastor Sherman Smith officiating.  Masks are required to be worn.

Memorials may be made in Cory's honor to the Metro East Humane Society or American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
