Curtis Earl Sponemann, age 69 of Centralia, IL, formerly of Collinsville, IL, born November 25, 1951 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Centralia, IL.

Curtis was loved by all who came into contract with him during his lifetime.

The Sponemann family to like to extend their gratitude to the staff at The Murray Center, Curtis' Murray family and The Murray Parents Association for all their love and support for Curtis during his time at The Murray Center.  They would also like to thank the Staff at Saint Mary's in Centralia, IL for their professional care and concern while caring for Curtis.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Frieda (nee Gaultney) Sponemann; his grandparents, Walter Ellis Sr. and Gladys (nee Island) Gaultney; and C.W.E. and Mary (nee Weseman) Sponemann.

Surviving are his three sisters, Mrs. Susan (Greg) Perkins, Mrs. Mary (Jeff) McDevitt, and Mrs. Peggy (Kevin) Frederking; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held.
