Daniel Orlando, age 96 of Troy, IL, born April 15, 1926 in Rochester NY, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Cedarhurst of Troy, IL.

Daniel was a retired Vice-President of the Insurance Division of Edison Brothers in St. Louis, MO. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and received several medals and commendations for his service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 111 in Shrewsbury, MO, he loved to golf, and he enjoyed working in his garden.  The family wishes to thank Cedarhurst of Troy and Vitas Healthcare for their support and compassion, and American Legion Post 111 for the years of friendship.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary (Ricinto) Orlando; and his wife, Barbara Ann (Donovan) Orlando, whom he married on August 16, 1952.

He is survived by two daughters: Lori Orlando of St. Louis, MO and Donna (Bill) Campbell of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren: Daniel (Janna) Thomas, Brad (Lindsay) Campbell, and Cheryl (Jacob) Cantrell; and three great-grandchildren: Owen Thomas, Rylee and Jace Campbell.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
