Daniel W. Siegel, age 69 of Belleville, IL, formerly of Collinsville, born February 1, 1954 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at St. Paul's Senior Community in Belleville.

Dan was a 1972 Collinsville High School graduate.  He had worked at American Steele in Granite City and Auffenberg Ford Belleville for numerous years until retiring.  He was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville and was a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Mary Catherine (nee Spalding) Siegel; and three brothers:  David, Mike, and John Siegel.

He is survived by his son, Scott Siegel of St. Louis, MO; a brother, Tom Siegel of Collinsville, IL; numerous nieces and nephews; and a neighbor friend, Rod Brendel.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth's Hospital for their outstanding care over the years.

Memorial visitation will be 2 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.
