David L. Pratto, age 77 of Collinsville, IL, born February 17, 1943 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Evelyn's House in Creve Coeur, MO.
David worked at Pro Am Golf in St. Louis, MO for many years. He served in the Army Reserves, enjoyed playing golf, and meeting his friends at the Beltline McDonald's. He loved his kitties, Ozzy and Sammy, but most of all loved spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil Pratto and Mary (nee Cammarata) Weiss; and two granddaughters, Lisa Kibler and Nicole Torpea.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy (nee Yost) Pratto, who he married November 3, 2006; a son, Johnny (Shawnell) Pratto of High Ridge, MO; two daughters, Toni (Mike) Torpea of Douglas, GA and Karen (Tim) Robertson of Fenton, MO; a daughter by marriage, Dori Stayton of Swansea, IL; five grandchildren, Michael (Mary), Jenae, Bradley, Raquel (Jared), and Andrea (Melissa); two great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Ariel; two brothers, Al (Kelly) Weiss of O'Fallon, MO and Louis Weiss of St. Peters, MO; a sister, Mary (Gary) Curtright of O'Fallon, MO; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Barnes Jewish Hospital and Evelyn's House for their exceptional care and compassion.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL. Due to the current COVID restrictions, social distancing guidelines will be observed and face masks are required.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. following the visitation with Father John Beveridge officiant. Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
Memorials may be made in David's honor to Siteman Cancer Center Pediatric Fund and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home at 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
