Obituary

David Webb, age 74 of Collinsville, IL, born August 18, 1945 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at his residence.

David was a retired utilities operator for Shell Oil in Wood River, IL where he worked for 31 years, having worked as well as a laborer for Webb Plumbing for 7 years.  He was an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Sharpshooter Rifle, and Vietnam Service Medal.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Collinsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorothy (nee Lesueun) Webb; and a son-in-law, Robert Terry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carolyn Sue (nee Cunningham) Webb, whom he married April 26, 1968; a son, Richard (Deborah) Wrigley of Tahlequah, OK; two daughters:  Denise Terry of Mulberry Grove, IL and Vikki (Dr. David) Rawdon of Maryville, IL; 16 grandchildren:  Hannah (Aldo) Flores, Jacob (Haley) Wrigley, Grace Wrigley, Isaac (April) Wrigley, Abigail Wrigley, Lily Wrigley, Richard (Hannah) Wrigley, Elijah Wrigley, Fiona Wrigley, Anthony Wrigley, Francesca Wrigley, Ian Wrigley, Nathan Rawdon, Kassidy Rawdon, Rachel Terry and Joshua Terry; 9 great-grandchildren:  Brayden, Alaina, Ryleigh, Isaiah, David, Natalie, Penelope, Maximus and Conrado; and a brother, Gary (Kay) Webb of Collinsville, IL.

Upon his request, David's body was donated to Washington University in St. Louis, MO for medical education and research.
