Deborah Theresa Bowers, age 75 of Alhambra, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the Alhambra Rehab and Healthcare Center.

Deborah was born on May 18, 1947 in Pana, IL to the late Louis and Josephine (nee Donaldson) Dewerff.  She graduated from Nokomis High School and worked as a sales consultant in the Jewelry Department at Walmart for 20 years.  She enjoyed golfing and bowling, but most of all spending time with her family.  She was a former member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Glen Carbon, IL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Bowers; and a brother, Jeff Dewerff.

Surviving are her two sons, Brien (Tonia) Bowers of Hamel, IL and Joseph (Heather) Bowers of Alton, IL; seven grandchildren:  Braden Bowers, Brienna Bowers, Kylie Bowers, Kayleigh Mceuen, Jakub Mceuen and Austin Mceuen; six great-grandchildren;  two brothers, Jim Dewerff of Nokomis, IL and Michael Dewerff of Cape Girardeau, MO; two sisters, Karel O'Malley of Witt, IL and Mary Lou Bertolino of Witt, IL; a sister-in-law, Penny Dewerff of Nokomis, IL; as well as many who called her "Grams."

Her wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
