Donald E. Freeman, age 82 of Caseyville, IL, born February 17, 1943 in St. Louis, MO, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Highland Health Center.

Donald retired from Anheuser-Busch where he worked as a machinist. He also worked for Obear-Nester Glass Company. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Lee (nee Bohnenstiehl) Freeman, whom he married February 16, 1963; parents, Augustus and Annabelle (nee Bardmass) Freeman; and two brothers: Clarence "Drew" Holliday and Edwin "Buddy" Freeman.

Surviving are his three daughters: Kelly (Mark) Jefferson, Kim (Grant) Suhre and Deborah (Ken) Barry; five grandchildren: Joshua Jefferson, Becca Jefferson, Rachel Suhre, Kari Fumerola and Luke Barry; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Nail officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville.
