Donald "Don" Keith Cox, Sr., age 89 of Collinsville, IL, born January 15, 1929 in Collinsville, IL, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at his residence.

Don was a Collinsville High School graduate. He retired from the United States Post Office in Collinsville, IL, and in his earlier years worked for the Pennsylvania railroad. He enjoyed all kinds of sports, and was an Air Force veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Keith H. and Emma nee Kuhlmann Cox; and a sister, Joyce Witt.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores nee Best Cox of Collinsville, IL; a son, Don (Babette) Cox, Jr. of Collinsville, IL; a daughter, Christine (David) Bierman of St. Louis, MO; two step-sons: Kurt (Wilma) Jentsch and Scott Jentsch, both of Collinsville, IL; four grandchildren: Hope (Scott) Trupiano, Shannel Bierman, Derrick and Dylan Cox; three step-grandchildren: Selina Jentsch, Tara (Chris) Glynn, and Rachel Meehan; four great grandchildren: Paxton, AriLev, Henry and Alexander; three step-great grandchildren: Kynzi, Elizabeth and Elaina; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL with services at 6:30 pm.

Private burial will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Glenwood Cemetery in Collinsville, IL with Rev. Kyle Wright officiating.

Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran School and will be received at the visitation.
