Doris E. "Dee" Daviess, 79, of O'Fallon, MO, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Meridian Village Care Center in Glen Carbon, IL. She was born on January 15, 1947, in St. Louis to the late Clarence and Eleanor (nee Erny) Luechau.

She married John W. Daviess on June 17, 1967, in Jennings, MO, and he survives.

Dee attained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Southeast Missouri State University and worked as a Software Systems Engineer, retiring from MetLife Insurance.

She was very kind and helpful, an animal lover, an avid reader, and enjoyed bird watching. Dee traveled the world, loved people, and was loved in return. She had a passion for science fiction and was a collector of many things. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Daviess; her son, Paul (Ashley) Daviess; her daughter, Lisa (Bill) Henricks; five grandchildren, Zackary Daviess, Nathan Daviess, Jordyn Henricks, Kaden Davis, and Liam Henricks; two great-grandchildren, Wolf and Rome; and her beloved sister, Janet Savage.

Dee's wishes were to be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at her home on May 16, 2026.  Open House from 11am – 5pm with a Toast at 2pm.

Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society of Missouri and will be received at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
