Dorothy "Dotty" Lorraine Hoffman 91, of Glen Carbon IL, passed peacefully at Addington Place of Edwardsville on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

She was born January 14, 1934, in Altoona, PA.  On October 4, 1952, she married Leonard Dennis Hoffman. They moved to Granite City, IL after his service in the US Navy.

She enjoyed many years being active as a mom, brownie/ girl scout leader and with ladies groups at her church. She enjoyed crocheting and other crafts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard D Hoffman; her parents, Chester and Mabel Lockard; three brothers, Alvin, James and Chet; two sisters, Eleanor and Shirley; and a son-in-law, Randy Vangilder.

She is survived by her son, Marty (Pam) Hoffman of Collinsville, IL; daughters, Diana (Nick) Huniak of Port St. Lucie, FL and Melea Vangilder of Lafayette, LA; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Huniak, Philip Huniak, Lauren Herman, Christian Hoffman, Simon Hoffman, Emily Kladifko, and Rachel Martin; and was also blessed with 15 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.  She loved the Lord and her family.

Visitation will be at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. with funeral service at 11 a.m. officiated by Rev. Andrew Packer. Burial will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon, IL.
