Dorothy E. Johnson, age 86 of Troy, IL, born August 18, 1929 in Granite City, IL, passed away at 3:56 am on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at her residence.

Dorothy was a retired LPN. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, needlepoint, and square dancing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer "Gene" Johnson; her parents: James Leroy Earl Drischel and Opal Marie nee Gaddie Drischel; and four sisters: Bonnie Boner, Margaret Bono, Patsy Clark and Wanda Riggs.

She is survived by a son, Darrell (Katherine) Johnson of Portsmouth, VA; a daughter, Loverna (Larrie) Boner of Troy, IL; two grandchildren: Angela Lefers and David Ray; two great grandchildren: Marissa and Allison Lefers; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 9am on Monday, October 12, 2015 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
