Dotty had a love for feeding her neighborhood squirrels and cooking her grandchildren's favorite meals, like her special pancakes, deviled eggs, and party-potatoes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Donald Helmich; brother, Alfred Helmich; brother, Billie Helmich; and her dear daughter-in-law, Karyn Kitley (nee Hershman).

Dotty is survived by her son, Bryan Kitley; and daughter, Laura (Lenny) Kitley-Bussmann. Dotty was a loving "Granny" and is survived by four grandchildren, David (Mary) Kitley, Jerod (Randa) Meier, Daniel (Ciara) Kitley, Stephanie (Aaron) Christ; and six great-grandchildren, Nolan, Victoria, Rayden, Carter, Julen, and Caden. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
