Dorothy Rogers age 93 of Maryville, IL, born October 21, 1921 in Evanston, IL, passed away at 12:35am on Friday June 12, 2015 at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon, IL.

She liked country music and loved to go to the Grand Ole Opry. She loved to garden, liked flowers, and was an avid cardinal fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband John T. Rogers, her parents George and Rosa nee Russell Champion, two daughters; Barbara and Kathy, two sons; Charles and Richard, three sisters; twin sister Dollie Fancher, Thelma Rozell, and Esther Million, two grandchildren; Christopher Lee and Brian Hasty Sr.

She is survived by a son Kenny (Marsha) Rogers of Maryville, IL, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3pm to 7pm on Sunday June 14, 2015 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home 2800 North Center Street Maryville, IL.

Funeral services will be at 11am on Monday at the funeral home with Stacey Rozell officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Granite City, IL.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Kidney Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
