Eddie D. Wallace, age 79 of Maryville, IL born July 16, 1937 in Dover, TN passed away at 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Liberty Village Care Center in Maryville.

Eddie retired after 35 years as a scarfer at National Steel in Granite City, IL. He was an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Susan nee McGovern Wallace; and a brother, Kenneth Wallace.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine nee Potts Wallace, whom he married on November 16, 1956; three sons: James Wallace of Collinsville, Gary (Jan) Wallace of Edwardsville, and David (Sandy) Wallace of Troy; a daughter, Deana Wallace of Maryville; six grandchildren: Kira (Rodger) Carper, Paul (Amanda) Wallace, Tara (Tom) Williams, Sara, Evan and Nolan Wallace; four great grandchildren: Landan, Layla, Jackson and Joey; and a sister, Peggy Stavely of AR.

His wishes were to be cremated and private services were held.
