Edward A. Henke, age 77 of Glen Carbon, IL, born December 5, 1941 in Granite City, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Caseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Edward was a retired Shell Oil utilities supervisor.  He was an ordained minister and loved studying the word of God, reading his Bible, and professing his faith to those around him.  He enjoyed fishing and researching things on his cell phone.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Rose ( nee Ziats ) Henke; his parents, William and Josephine ( nee Lohtak ) Henke; and a brother, Richard Henke.

He is survived by his daughter, Nina Barker of Caseyville, IL; two grandchildren, Nazareth and Noah; and a brother, William (Doris) Henke, Jr. of Granite City, IL.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon, IL with Rev. Roger Wright officiating.

Memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation and mailed to the funeral home.
