Elise Meier Jackson, age 84 of Collinsville, IL, born May 21, 1939 in Collinsville, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Collinsville Nursing & Rehab.

Elise was a Collinsville High School graduate, Class of 1957.  She married John Jackson on May 14, 1960 and they enjoyed 47 years of marriage until he passed away in 2007.  She had worked as an order clerk for Swift & Company, and was a homemaker.  She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Lorraine (nee Schroeppel) Meier; and a brother, David Meier.

Surviving her three children: John (Linda) Jackson, Jr. of St. Louis, MO, James Jackson of Collinsville, IL and Gwen (Eric) Lagemann of Edwardsville, IL; three grandchildren:  Joey, Julie, and Jacob Jackson; and a sister, Ida Ann Henze of Collinsville, IL.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kyle Wright officiating.  Burial will be in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Collinsville.
