Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Missey, 68, of Collinsville, IL, born March 1, 1958, in East St. Louis, IL, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at her residence with her family by her side.

Beth was a graduate of Collinsville High School, Class of 1976. She attended Belleville Area College and went on to build a dedicated career as a respiratory therapist and sleep lab technician, serving hospitals in Illinois, Missouri, and California.

Beth cherished time spent with her family and friends, loved animals, and took pleasure in crafting. She especially enjoyed knitting and weaving.

She was preceded in death by her father, Glen Missey and her maternal grandparents Louis and Elizabeth (French) Best and paternal grandparents Wilburn and Bessie (Sansoucie) Missey.

She is survived by her loving mother, Beverly (nee Best) Missey; her sister, Vicki (Larry) Reulecke; two nephews, Brian (Emily) Reulecke and Matthew (Amy) Reulecke; a great-nephew, Evan Reulecke; and a large extended family who will lovingly remember her strength, kindness, and sense of humor.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Erica from Advantage Home Health, and Nurse Matt, Val, and Amber from Unity Hospice for their compassionate and caring support.

Visitation will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Jennifer Sowell. Private burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Collinsville at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Collinsville Fire Department, S.O.S. Soup Kitchen, or St. John United Church of Christ. Memorials will be received at the visitation or may be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
