Fay McDonald, age 89 of Collinsville, IL, born October 12, 1931 in Mississippi County, MO, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Caseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Fay was a member of Northsmoke Church, formerly known as Alpha Omega, in Collinsville. She enjoyed attending Bible studies, working the food  pantry at the church, and gardening.  She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Geneva (nee Sailors) Mayabb; her husband, Howard L. McDonald, whom she married on January 16, 1960; two brothers, Edward and Richard Mayabb; and a sister, Virginia Mayabb.

Surviving are her two daughters, Teresa (Mike) Neville of Collinsville and LaDonna Powell of Collinsville; step-son, Dale (Linda) Huff of Troy, IL; four grandchildren:  Laura Markovich, Rory McKee II, Haley Lutes and Brett Powell; five step-grandchildren:  Stacey Ross, Angela Riddle, Michael Neville, Mikhael Neville and DesaRae Neville; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence (Margie) Mayabb of East Prairie, MO; a sister, Helen Kersey of East Prairie, MO; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL.  Funeral service will follow at 12 noon with Sister Helen Kersey officiating.  Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
