Frank "Chico" Italiano, age 89, of Collinsville, IL, born May 24, 1934 in Delianuova, Italy, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Highland Healthcare Center, Highland IL.
Chico was a retired auto repairman, having worked at the General Motors plant. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Anna Marie (Battista) Italiano; his wife, Mary (Grisolano) Italiano, whom he married on September 29, 1956; two brothers: Leo and Joe Italiano, and a sister, Josephine Frisina.
He is survived by a son, John "Chico" (Kay) Italiano of Troy, IL; two daughters: Kay Kamra of Frisco, TX and Linda Stockton of Maryville, IL; 5 grandchildren: Katia (Jerry) Liu, Nathan (Kimmy) Italiano, Chelsea (John) Fischer, Francesca (Noah Dell) Stockton and Nick Stockton; 5 great grandchildren: Karolena, Connor, Gavin, Graham, and Charlotte; and a sister, Dominica Faraone of Australia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL and 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, IL.
Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday with Father Michael Haag celebrant. Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
Memorials are suggested to SS Peter & Paul Catholic School or Church, or the Collinsville Senior Center and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
