Freddie H. Greenley, age 88 of Collinsville, IL, born October 15, 1933, in Miller City, IL, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon, IL.

Freddie graduated from Thebes High School, attained a Bachelor degree from SIU Carbondale, and Masters from SIU-E.  He was a retired vocational teacher for Collinsville Unit #10 and enjoyed building houses with senior vocational students.  He was a Navy veteran, a member and church Elder of First United Presbyterian Church in Collinsville, and served on the Collinsville Appearance Board.  He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Anna Mae (nee Waterman) Wright; a brother, Van Comer Greenley; and sister, Dixie Warren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jerri Ann (nee Schnaare) Greenley, whom he married June 26, 1955; daughter, Mona (Randy) Andrews of Foristell, MO; three grandchildren:  Kelli Andrews, James (Shannon) Andrews and Bob (Kristi) Andrews; four great-grandchildren:  Ren, Miles, Noah and Riley; a sister, Barbara (Charles) Drury of Bethalto, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the funeral home with Rev. Zach Lysdahl officiating.  Burial with military honors will be in Mound City National Cemetery, Mound City, IL.
