Gayle Diane James, age 55 of New Douglas, IL, born February 10, 1961 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away at 4:45 am on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at her home surrounded by family.

Gayle was a 1979 Collinsville High School graduate. She was an owner and operator of BMF Paint Contracting with her husband, John.

She is survived by her husband, John James, whom she married September 19, 1990; her parents: Harold (Karen) Plemons of AL and Yvonne (Rich) Hays of MO; two brothers: Harold (Diana) Plemons of AZ and Tim Plemons of Glen Carbon, IL; a sister, Renee (Philip) Kawolski of GA; numerous nieces and nephews.

Gayle's wishes were to be cremated, and a private service will be held at their home at a later date.
