Gerald L. Kimberlin, Sr., age 76 of Collinsville, IL, born November 28, 1942 in Troy, IL, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Gerald worked as a crane operator at Granite City Steel for 35 years before retiring.  He was a Navy veteran and enjoyed fishing, hunting, skiing, and boating at his clubhouse on the Illinois River.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jo (nee Bilyeu) Kimberlin; his parents:  Leland and Bertha (nee Hall) Kimberlin; and two sisters:  Fay Gibbs and Shirley Wilke.

He is survived by his son, Gerald Kimberlin, Jr. of Collinsville, IL; a sister, Elizabeth Bush of Troy, IL; a niece, Teri (Craig) Klueter of Troy, IL; other nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be 4pm to 8pm on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Vitas Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.
