Grace "Dean" Hartman, age 81 formerly ofMilford, IL, born May 2, 1937 in Sunnybrook, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, IL.

Dean retired after 19 years as a librarian for the Milford District Library. She loved gardening, reading, and painting art pictures. She loved her family and grandchildren dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Osco and Ruth nee Albertson Neal; her husband, Richard Dale Hartman; a granddaughter, Julie Villegas; two brothers:Ralph and Charlie; two sisters: Evelyn and Betty; a sister-in-law, Joan; and a daughter-in-law, Diane.

She is survived by four children: Jeffrey Hartman of Mokena, IL, a daughter, Julie (Stan) Clark of Maryville, IL, Deanna (Gordon) Lustfeldt of Normal, IL, and Joseph (Elizabeth) Hartman of Richmond Heights, MO; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers: John Neal of OR,Robert (Pat) Neal of Watseka, IL and Dennis (Bev) Neal of Rossville, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Upon her request, Dean was cremated and the family will plan a memorial service at a later date.
