Harold H. Hunsinger, age 90 of Maryville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born August 2, 1931 in Staunton, IL to the late Elvin and Leona (nee Dohm) Hunsinger.  He married the love of his life, Shirley Martinelli, on May 5, 1956.

Harold was a 1949 Staunton High School graduate and 1953 graduate of Illinois State.  He retired after 50 years of service as a communications manager in the heating and air conditioning industry. He was an Army veteran, member of Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Maryville and enjoyed photography.

Surviving is his beloved wife, Shirley Hunsinger; four sons: Mark (Andria) Hunsinger of Orlando, FL, Steve Hunsinger of Maryville, IL, Chris Hunsinger of Maryville, IL,  and Michael (Michelle) Hunsinger of Maryville, IL; 11 grandchildren:  Melissa (Matt) England, Kristine (Nathan) Mueller, Kevin (Brittany) Hunsinger, Amber (Jeramiah) Miller, Kelly Hunsinger, Autumn Hunsinger, Holly (Thomas) Royer, Rachel (Michael) Dolan, Libby (Ben) Hutcherson, Katie (Joseph) Valencia and Ben (Ashley) Hunsinger; 19 great-grandchildren:  Cameron, Jackson and Tristan England, Ryder Mueller,  Zoey and Hailey Hunsinger, Connor, Graiden, Bryson, Ethan, Maverick and Rownan Miller, Keaton King, Kali, Raegen and Mia Royer,  Remi and Thomas Dolan, Beaux Valencia; and a sister, Carol Stock of Elgin, IL.  Besides his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Anthony Hunsinger.

Memorial mass will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 200 N. Lange, Maryville, IL with Father Rob Johnson celebrant.  Luncheon will follow in the Parish Center.  Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.
