Harriett L. Hinds, age 95, died on January 23, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.

Beloved wife of retired Chief Master Sergeant Clyde Hinds.  Very loving mother to Sharon (Terry) Chatkin, Ronald C. (Leigh Ann) Hinds, and Kathryn L. (Terry) Scheibal.  Devoted grandmother to Megan C. (Tim) Hurt.  Also beloved grandmother to Kelli Beckner, Jace Scheibal and Julann Scheibal.  Proud great-grandmother of Hayes R. Otis, Kylie L. Hurt, Mallory G. Hurt, and Eileigh Beckner.

Harriett loved being an Air Force wife and all the traveling it involved.  No matter where we settled, we always had a beautiful welcoming home.  She was an accomplished oil painter and enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, and especially jigsaw puzzles.  She will be forever loved and live in the hearts of her family forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Hinds, whom she married on July 5, 1952; her parents, Irwin B. Hahn and Bertha (nee Engel) Melms; three brothers; and two sisters.

Her wishes were to be cremated and a private family burial will be in Mt. Comfort Cemetery in MO.
