Helen N. Simmons, age 93 of Caseyville, IL, born April 23, 1929 in Keokuk, IA, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at her residence surrounded by family.

Helen retired from Prudential Insurance after 28 years of service.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Caseyville.  Helen was the perfect balance of class and sass.  Once asked if she regretted never having children, she kindly stated I had 3.  My nieces and nephew are my children.  She was an amazing aunt and truly thought the world of them. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and the beauty of her flowers coming to life in the spring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Beulah (nee Dieterich) Simmons; and three brothers:  Vernon, Valmyr and Homer (Dorothy) Simmons.

She is survived by nieces and nephews:  Helen (Rob) Watt of Collinsville, IL, Kathy (Steve) Duckworth of Collinsville, IL and Fred (Tara) Simmons of Caseyville, IL; numerous great nieces and nephews.

Private graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Versailles West Side Cemetery in Versailles, IL.
