Jack C. Shields age 47 of Troy, IL, born June 10, 1968 in Belleville, IL, passed away at 12:29am on Saturday August 29, 2015 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Jack was a 1986 Collinsville High School graduate. He worked for over 10 years for Midas in Fairview Heights, IL. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Maryville, IL, and was a kind and giving person having donated his organs to help people.

He is survived by his parents Larry C. and Linda nee Carmack Shields; a brother John Scott (Phyllis) Shields of Collinsville, IL; a sister Terri (Keith) Garrett of Collinsville, IL; a niece Nichole Dotson of Collinsville, IL; and a great niece Aairlyn Merlot.

At his request his wishes were to be cremated and any services to be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior's or the Saint Louis University Hospital Chaplaincy program and will be accepted at the funeral home.
