Janet Dorothy Sandbrink, age 78, of Troy, IL, formerly of Maryville, IL, born September 9, 1941 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Morningside of Troy.

She was a retired bank teller for the former Boatman's Bank and a former model. Family was very important to Janet and she loved spending time with her loved ones.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Wendell and Ramona (nee Faultus) Brinson; her husband, Jurgen Peter Sandbrink whom she married on October 11, 1961; a brother, Charles Brinson; and two sisters, Rita Monte and Carolyn Taylor.

She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Scott (Bonnie) Sandbrink of St. Charles, MO; a daughter, Dana (Jeff) Bemis of Collinsville, IL; a grand-daughter, Valerie (Brenton Clark) Sandbrink; a sister, Ann Dolansky of Swansea, IL; and her beloved dog, Rosie, which was always by her side.

Memorial visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville IL, followed by a memorial service beginning at 10 a.m.

Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis MO.
