Obituary

Jeannine A. Blackwell, age 75 of Caseyville, IL, born December 16, 1946 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Highland, IL.

Jeannine retired from AAA Credit as a senior bill collector.  She loved to play Bingo, Pepsi, candy bars and cigarettes.  She was an Elvis Presley fan and a member of Sterling Baptist Church in Fairview Heights.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman England and Theresa (nee Hoffman) Reaka; husband, Jerry Blackwell, Sr.; a son, Jerry Blackwell, Jr.; two sisters, Judy Cook and Vicki Byrd; and a brother, David England.

Surviving are her three children, Ronald Blackwell of Belleville, IL, Michelle (Bill) Bauer of Highland, IL and Charles (Nicole) Blackwell of Fenton, MO; 10 grandchildren: Heather, Jerry III, Tyffani (Matt), Brittany (Jeremy), Jordan, Trey, Kiyah, Emily, Vivian and Ian; 16 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bruce (Donna) England, Brian (Margaret Christian) England and Keith (Pat) England; three sisters, Tammie (Jeff) Davis, Eileen (Jim) Heepke and Ellen (Brad) Wellen; a very special aunt, Sharon Panek; and trusted companion, Tiggér.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Roger Wright officiating.  Burial will be SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Collinsville.

Memorials are suggested to Kelsie's Hope and will be received at the visitation or can be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
