Jeffrey D. Nelson, age 59, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at his residence with his family by his side.

Jeff was born February 12, 1964 in Belleville, IL to Gerald "Jerry" Nelson and Patricia A. (nee McClaskey) Nelson.  He graduated from Collinsville High School, Class of 1982, and married the love of his life, Norma J. Brunkhorst on June 9, 2006.  He loved family get togethers and Bar-B-Quing, playing cards, all sports, and caring for horses.  Jeff loved life and appreciated all things.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Nelson; grandfather, J.D. McClaskey; and two grandmothers:  Hilda McClaskey and Ann Madocco.

Surviving are his loving mother, Patricia Nelson; devoted wife, Norma Nelson; beloved daughter, Christina Goodwin Malone; three grandchildren: Cayden, Naudia and Brandon; two brothers: David (Angie) Nelson and Randy Nelson; a sister, Kim Nardoni; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and dear mother-in-law, Bessie "Charlene" Brunkhorst.

Jeff's wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
