Jeffrey S. Stites, age 61, of Collinsville, IL, born November 13, 1961, in East St. Louis, IL passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023, surrounded by his family at his residence.

Jeff was known and loved by many. He lived life to its fullest and could awaken any room he walked into. He never knew a stranger and could be your best friend within minutes of meeting you. He worked a number of jobs in his life, but never to the extent that he had a career. This was part of Jeff's personality – never afraid to try something different and usually gave his all to the experience. When family and friends gathered, Jeff was usually in the center of the action to laugh and cajole with all who were present.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Ted & Lorraine ( née Mizulski) Stites, Sr. and a sister, Pam Miller.

He is survived by his brother, Ted (Linda) Stites, Jr. of O'Fallon, IL; a sister, Suzanne Olsson of Collinsville, IL; nine nieces and nephews; five great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 03, 2023, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, Maryville, IL. Service to follow at 11 a.m. with Father Charles Tuttle officiating.

Interment of cremated remains will be held at St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Fairview Heights , IL immediately following the service.
