John Goodman, age 49 of Carlyle, IL, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 at his residence.

John was born in Muncie, IN on May 4, 1973 to Jack and Betty (nee Crabtree) Goodman.  He was a graduate of Wapahani High School and had worked as a chef.  He enjoyed gardening, treasure hunting at flea markets and thrift stores, and loved the beach.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Goodman; two brothers:  Jackie "Fletch" Goodman and David "Jive" Goodman; three uncles; one aunt; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Goodman; a brother, Mark (Stephanie) Goodman; sister-in-law, Tracie West; and life partner, Brian Hamby.

Upon his request, John was cremated and no services will be held.
