John A. Grothe, age 83 of Collinsville, IL, born July 9, 1936 in Collinsville, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

John was a retired bricklayer and he enjoyed woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Esther nee Brunnsworth Grothe; and a sister, Dorothy Lea Clare.

He is survived by three nephews and a best friend, Richard Mosby.

Upon his request, John was cremated.
